Nikon has announced the Z5 IIC, a new entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera that removes the expensive electronic viewfinder found on the Z5 II to deliver a significantly cheaper option. By eliminating this component, Nikon has been able to reduce the price whilst also making the camera lighter and more compact, expanding access to affordable full-frame photography and video capabilities.

The Z5 IIC weighs just 537 grams—nearly 25 per cent lighter than the Z5 II—yet retains a full-sized grip and most of the original camera's features, including 4K RAW video, in-body stabilisation with 7.5 stops of shake reduction, and an articulating 3.2-inch touchscreen ideal for vloggers. Priced at $1,400 (body only) or $1,700 with a kit lens, the camera offers impressive specifications for the price, including a 24-megapixel sensor, 14 fps burst shooting, ISO up to 64,000, and advanced features like N-RAW video capture and comprehensive subject detection for content creators.
