British rapper Yung Filly (real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos) will face a retrial on three rape charges in Australia next June after a jury failed to reach a verdict in his initial trial. The case centres on allegations from a 20-year-old fan who claims he repeatedly raped and assaulted her in his hotel room in Perth, Western Australia, following a 2024 concert. The retrial, scheduled to begin on 15 June and expected to last eight days, is significant as it involves a public figure known for his work with YouTube collective Beta Squad and appearances on UK television.

In July's initial trial, the jury acquitted Barrientos of three rape counts, one assault charge and one strangulation charge, but found him guilty of two assault charges. The court heard that Barrientos and the woman had consensual sexual relations before she alleged the encounter became violent and he refused to stop. Barrientos, aged 31, was granted permission to leave Australia on bail and has returned to the UK. Sentencing for the two assault convictions will take place following the retrial's conclusion.
