A woman who accused Jay-Z of raping her when she was 13 has formally withdrawn the allegation, stating in a court declaration that it was false and that she had never met or spoken to him. The allegation, made in a 2024 lawsuit, also implicated Sean “Diddy” Combs; both men denied it, and the case was dropped in February 2025. Jay-Z is still suing the woman’s former lawyers, while she has been removed from his lawsuit.

The woman said she was prompted to contact lawyers after seeing a Facebook advert seeking people with claims against Combs, but alleged that the lawsuit was filed without her authorisation or proper investigation. She said she had received no money or threats from Jay-Z or anyone acting for him, contradicting claims previously made by lawyer Tony Buzbee, who said he had not seen the new declaration and that she had consistently told the same story to multiple lawyers. Combs, who denied the allegation, is serving a four-year sentence after a 2025 conviction on prostitution-related charges.
