Microsoft has unveiled a redesigned Copilot “super app” combining chat, coding and AI agents in one interface, with the company suggesting it could become as influential as Office. The app is organised into Home, Code and Autopilot tabs, aiming to make Copilot a central workplace tool for both everyday productivity and more advanced automated tasks.

Home brings together chat and Cowork, with a planned dashboard for emails, meetings and Teams activity. Code lets users create and share cloud-hosted apps, trackers and automations, while Autopilot—formerly Scout—acts as a persistent digital assistant able to monitor channels, complete recurring tasks and manage follow-ups. Microsoft is targeting businesses with tenant-based security, permissions and auditing, but will charge separately for usage of Cowork, Code and Autopilot, making cost management a key concern for IT departments.
