Jet2 flight evacuated in Tenerife after bomb claim
Passengers were evacuated from a Jet2 flight at Tenerife South Airport after a passenger reportedly claimed to have a bomb in their luggage. The incident delayed the flight to London Stansted by about two hours, but the aircraft was cleared for departure and arrived safely.
Spain’s Civil Guard allowed passengers to reboard flight 1536, which left at approximately 1.45pm local time instead of its scheduled 11.20am departure and landed in Stansted at around 6pm. It remains unclear whether the passenger was arrested; Jet2 apologised for the delay and inconvenience caused.
