Rapper Nicki Minaj urged young Americans to participate in the 2026 midterm elections and “vote red”, while reinforcing her support for President Donald Trump. Speaking on Lara Trump’s programme, she said young people’s votes were essential and encouraged them to take part in local as well as presidential elections.

Minaj described Trump as authentic and praised his unscripted style, saying she had made supporting him her mission. She has also worked with the Trump administration as a judge for the Small Business Administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition, and criticised Democrats for becoming too focused on pop culture; she said her own success reflected the American dream.
