In the penultimate episode of HBO's Lanterns, John Stewart and Guy Gardner finally work together to investigate Hal Jordan's murder, whilst exploring Hal's past through a 1975 flashback revealing his relationship with his father Martin. The episode centres on John's attempt to access Hal's hidden safe using a backup of Hal's consciousness stored in his ring (the "Halogram").
