Ferrari entered the 2026 season hoping their preparations for new technical regulations would deliver championship contention, but whilst their chassis proved competitive, engine performance has lagged behind Mercedes and Red Bull. The team currently sits second in the constructors' championship, 160 points behind Mercedes after 15 of 23 races, with McLaren a further 72 points behind in third place.
