Rob Beckett will appear on the new series of Celebrity Traitors with three comedy friends—Romesh Ranganathan, Joe Lycett, and James Acaster—an experience he has described as "surreal". Despite their long-standing friendships and shared history performing together, Beckett has confirmed that none of them would hesitate to betray each other if it served their interests in the game, which begins on Thursday.

The four comedians started their careers together two decades ago, performing to small audiences of around eight people in Soho pubs, and have since become established figures on the British comedy scene. Beckett views their collective appearance on the show as a reflective moment, acknowledging how far they have all progressed professionally. Whilst he intends to play competitively, Beckett has indicated he will not take the game's outcomes too seriously, noting that defeat would simply mean time off work.
