Ridley Scott’s ‘Treasure Island’, ‘24 Jump Street’ & Others Get 2027 Sony Release Dates
Sony has announced several new release dates and changes to its film schedule. Ridley Scott’s adaptation of *Treasure Island*, starring Hugh Jackman as Long John Silver, will open on 11 November 2027, while *24 Jump Street*, reuniting Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube, is set for 10 December 2027.
Sony also scheduled *The Surgeon* for 2 April and *Narcs* for 20 August, both in 2027. *Grandgear* has moved forward from 18 February 2028 to 14 January, while *Helldivers*, starring Alan Ritchson, has shifted from 10 November 2027 to 9 June 2028; the article says *Treasure Island* is going into production first and *Helldivers* is being placed in the summer season. *The Surgeon* stars Michelle Yeoh as a surgeon abducted and forced to operate, and *Helldivers* is based on the video game series, whose sequel sold more than 12 million copies across PS5 and PC in its first four months.
