Wes Henderson ousted from distilling firm amid hidden camera allegations
Wes Henderson, a 60-year-old bourbon magnate and American Whiskey Hall of Fame member, has been ousted as CEO of TKC Distilling following allegations from family members that he secretly filmed them with hidden cameras. The family claims Henderson placed the cameras at his Florida vacation home and Kentucky residence to record intimate acts without consent, with allegations also including footage of minors. The case has resulted in serious criminal charges including invasion of privacy, voyeurism and possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Family members discovered 15 hidden cameras disguised as fire alarms, mirrors and other household items at Henderson's Florida home in June 2025, and another 15 at his Kentucky residence. In total, approximately 40 people were allegedly captured on camera without knowledge or consent. Henderson, who previously sold his Angel's Envy company to Bacardi for a reported £93 million in 2015, also owns Kentucky Castle, where some footage was allegedly recorded. He has stepped down from his role as deputy coroner, and his plans to build a £57 million distillery near the castle are now on hold whilst authorities investigate.
