The previous record stood at 2,036 individuals, making the newly set benchmark a substantial achievement for the collaborative effort.

The three-day festival, which marked its return after a gap since 2024, combined musical performances from established and emerging indie rock acts with diverse programming including comedy, film screenings, yoga sessions, and guided nature activities. The yo-yo record attempt reflects a broader contemporary interest in the spinning toy among musicians and cultural figures, with artists like Faye Webster separately organising yo-yo competitions in major cities.
