Patten & Heliovaara maintain Wimbledon title bid
Wimbledon's top-seeded men's doubles team of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara secured their passage to the quarter-finals through a hard-fought three-set comeback against Czech rivals Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl. The reigning champions rallied from a first-set deficit to win 5-7 6-3 7-6 (10-6), maintaining their strong form as holders of both the 2024 Wimbledon title and the 2025 Australian Open crown.
Patten and Heliovaara will now contest the quarter-final stage against Manuel Guinard and Guido Andreozzi, whilst the tournament also features several other British competitors across the doubles and mixed doubles competitions, with mixed results; Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury both advanced in their respective pairings, whilst defending mixed doubles champions Lloyd Glasspool and Tereza Mihalikova were defeated by the French-German combination of Roger-Vasselin and Siegemund.
