Charli xcx to preview seventh album at listening events in 25 cities
Charli xcx is launching a series of album-preview events to promote her seventh studio album, which arrives later this month. The interactive listening sessions will occur in independent theaters across 25 international cities over a three-day window, spanning North America, Europe, Oceania, South America, and Asia. The album, titled "Music, Fashion, Film," draws its conceptual framework from three cultural figures—musician John Cale, fashion designer Marc Jacobs, and filmmaker Martin Scorsese—each representing one pillar of the title.
The listening sessions precede a separate large-scale tour that will feature traditional arena performances. Beginning in September, Charli will visit major North American venues including multiple nights at high-capacity facilities in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, with support from electronic artist Underscores. The album itself contains eleven tracks with a total runtime of approximately thirty minutes.
