Romanian anti-organised crime prosecutors (DIICOT) have brought a fresh set of charges against Andrew Tate, 39, and his brother Tristan, 37, alleging the pair earned more than £1 million by prostituting a teenage girl through their webcam sex business. The new charges — money laundering, witness intimidation and complicity in the trafficking of minors — are in addition to existing accusations of human trafficking and rape, deepening a long-running case against the high-profile brothers.

Prosecutors allege that Andrew, a former kickboxer and self-described misogynist, manipulated a 17-year-old girl into working for the brothers' pornography operation between November 2014 and December 2021, after which Tristan controlled her webcam account and set financial targets. Her exploitation is said to have generated $1.53 million (£1.14 million). Tristan is also accused of recruiting three victims between 2018 and 2021 using the "lover boy method" of lavishing gifts to coerce them into sex work, and of intimidating 11 witnesses into giving false statements or staying silent. Both men face criminal charges in Romania and the UK.
