Jude Law to lead getaway driver thriller from his Riff Raff company
Actor Jude Law is to star in a new film about a getaway driver, produced by his own production company, Riff Raff Entertainment. The project was announced by Riff Raff's co-founder Ben Jackson and head of film and TV Katie Sinclair at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, and marks a notable shift for Law into action territory as well as a move towards larger-scale productions for the company.
The screenplay is written by Zach Baylin, co-creator of the Netflix miniseries "Black Rabbit", co-writer of Justin Kurzel's "The Order" and an Oscar nominee for "King Richard". Jackson said the story follows a getaway driver trying to get "from A to B to C" against numerous obstacles, and that the idea grew out of the car chases in "The Order", which Law had enjoyed filming. Sinclair said Law's casting sets the film apart within the genre, while Baylin is also developing a new television series with Riff Raff.
