Star Wars has announced a new interactive exhibit, Star Wars: The Experience — A Journey Through the Galaxy, which will open at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in February 2027. The exhibit forms part of a wider celebration marking fifty years since the release of the first Star Wars film in 1977, making it a notable event for fans of the long-running franchise.

Visitors will be able to view a collection of more than 70 artifacts spanning different eras of Star Wars, including numerous items used in the films and television shows that are being displayed publicly for the first time. The announcement comes amid a busy period for the franchise, following the cinema release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, the well-received animated series Maul — Shadow Lord, and upcoming projects such as the Visions spin-off The Ninth Jedi and Ahsoka Season 2.
