Taylor Swift wedding dress designer Jonathan Anderson describes emotional Dior collaboration

Billboard · 8 hours ago

Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson has spoken publicly for the first time about designing Taylor Swift's wedding dress, describing the collaboration as an emotional and joyful experience. Swift married Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at New York's Madison Square Garden on 3 July, and the couple wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture for the ceremony. The comments matter because no official photographs of the gown or the wedding have yet been released, making the designer's account one of the few first-hand insights into the closely guarded event.

Speaking to WWD on Monday 6 July, Anderson said working with Swift was "a joy" and that the pair became good friends, noting the dress was his first couture wedding gown for a world-renowned celebrity. Swift and Kelce, both 36, also wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes, with Swift accessorised in Cartier jewellery. Tight security surrounded the reportedly 1,000-guest event, which was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler and is said to have featured Paul McCartney performing "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and a set by Stevie Nicks. Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce, described the occasion only as "magical".
