Girl Talk to release new EP featuring Michael Christmas and Chris Crack

Pitchfork · 1 month ago

Girl Talk, the mashup and production project of Gregg Gillis, has announced a new EP made in collaboration with rappers Michael Christmas and Chris Crack. Titled Don't Come to My House Sharing Your Location, the record is due out on 14 August via C&G Records and Illegal Art, and its release marks Gillis's return with a fresh multi-artist project. To accompany the announcement, the three artists have shared a video for the lead single "Vending Machine Charcuterie Board", filmed as they wander around Gillis's home city of Pittsburgh.

The EP will be pressed on vinyl through Illegal Art, the label that issued every Girl Talk release between 2002's Secret Diary and 2010's All Day. Gillis's most recent full-length was 2022's Full Court Press, a collaboration with Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T. and Smoke DZA, while last year he released the single "Believe in Ya" featuring Yaeji and T-Pain. The new EP runs to six tracks, including "Wouldn't Go to Chili's With Michael B. Jordan", "Dr. Umar Radio Station on GTA6" and "Bury Me With the Apollo Twin".
