Told Slant, the project of musician Felix Walworth, has announced a new album titled What's Up, arriving nearly six years after 2020's Point The Flashlight And Walk. The record's lead single, "Manhattan," was released on 7 July 2026, and Walworth describes it as a lament for New York "becoming a shrine to capitalism" and the artistic underground's inability to resist that shift, evoking crushed dreams of city-dwelling artists.

The album was recorded over the course of a month in a makeshift studio built upstate, tracked to an eight-track reel-to-reel machine. Walworth handled drums, bass and guitar alongside Hannah Pruzinsky and Florist bandmate Jonnie Baker, with further contributions from Ceci Sturman, Hellen Ballentine, Emily Sprague, Mari Rubio and Elijah Wolf. The ten-track What's Up is due out on 4 September 2026 via Mtn. Laurel Recording Co. and is available to pre-order.
