Told Slant, the solo project of Florist's Felix Walworth, has announced a new album titled What's Up, due out on 4 September via Mtn. Laurel Recording Co. It is the project's first record since 2020's Point the Flashlight and Walk, and Walworth has marked the announcement by releasing a new song, "Manhattan". Walworth has described the record as their "New York record", framing it around the experience of committing intensely to self-expression and subculture in a hostile urban environment.

Walworth played drums, bass and guitar on the album, alongside Hannah Pruzinsky and Florist bandmate Jonnie Baker, with further contributions from Ceci Sturman, Helen Ballentine (Skullcrusher), Emily Sprague, Mari Rubio and Elijah Wolf. The ten-track record includes songs such as "Real Love", "Rain of God" and "Marcie Come Home". Told Slant will support the release with three UK dates in November, playing Brighton (Dust) on 3 November and Bristol (The Croft) and London on 4 November, the latter at MOTH Club as part of Pitchfork Music Festival London.
