The show had been announced by Duffy in June, with a limited number of tickets distributed via a fan ballot and the venue kept secret until the day itself; attendees praised her vocals, including a rendition of her hit "Warwick Avenue". Her comeback follows her 2020 disclosure that she had been drugged, kidnapped and sexually assaulted, an ordeal that led to depression and prompted her to step away from the spotlight. Duffy, who won a Grammy for her 2008 debut Rockferry and last released a studio album, Endlessly, in 2010, has hinted she is working on new music, while Disney+ has confirmed a forthcoming Hulu documentary about her life and career.
