Disney star Kylie Cantrall has announced her second EP, Valley Girl Problems, due for release on 24 July. The eight-track project marks a fresh chapter for the Venezuelan-American artist as she shifts from acting — notably her role as Red in Disney's Descendants franchise — towards establishing herself as a pop musician.

The EP's lead single, "Carrie Bradshaw", was released in April, with other tracks including "Grwm", the title track, "Closet", "Girls Like U", "Yuck!" and two interludes. It was produced by Tricky Stewart, known for work with Rihanna and Tyla, and co-written with Tayla Parx, a hitmaker for Ariana Grande among others. The release follows Cantrall's return in Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, debuting 16 July on Disney Channel, and comes after she signed to Republic Records earlier this year and issued her debut EP, B.O.Y., last year.
