A landslide has killed eight people, including seven students and a teacher, after burying a girls' school inside a Rohingya refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Rescuers pulled 13 people from the mud, of whom eight died and five children were taken to hospital, according to Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Mohammed Mizanur Rahman; some of the victims were as young as seven. The country has been hit by monsoon rains since Sunday, and earlier landslides had already killed at least eight other Rohingya refugees, including five children. Cox's Bazar hosts more than one million Rohingya — the world's largest refugee settlement — most of whom fled a 2017 military crackdown in Myanmar, where they are denied citizenship.
