Lucy Dacus has directed a music video for "Planting Tomatoes", her single released in April, filmed in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia. The collage-style clip sees her touring some of her favourite local spots and matters chiefly as the latest release supporting her ongoing album campaign.

The video features cameos from Dacus's father and students from the local youth performing arts group SPARC, and takes in locations including Dogwood Dell, Earthfolk Collective, Hollywood Cemetery and James River Park Pony Pasture. It arrives as Dacus prepares to resume touring behind last year's album Forever Is a Feeling, beginning this weekend at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, while a sold-out screening of the video is set for Richmond's Byrd Theatre on 30 July, followed by a Q&A.
