HBO Max topped all networks and streaming platforms in the 2026 Emmy Award nominations announced on Wednesday, securing 122 nods and continuing its dominance of the awards race. Its haul was led by the reigning best drama and comedy winners, The Pitt and Hacks, underlining the platform's strength in prestige television even as its overall total fell from the previous year.

The Pitt earned 25 nominations and Hacks 24, with companion short-form programmes adding one each, together accounting for 51 of HBO Max's total. The platform's figure was down from 142 in 2025, when The Penguin, The White Lotus and The Last of Us all featured heavily. Netflix came second with 111 nominations, led by 16 for Beef's second season, while Apple TV reached a record 87, topped by Widow's Bay and Pluribus. Among broadcasters, ABC led with 40. The 78th Emmy Awards will take place on 14 September on NBC, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, with Creative Arts ceremonies on 5 and 6 September.
