Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Next Ranked Battle Season Takes To The Skies With A Special Ruleset

Nintendo Life · 2 months ago

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is introducing a Flying-type-only ruleset for its next Ranked Battle season, marking a change of pace after several seasons that fans have described as repetitive. Season 14 begins on 16th July at 7am BST (2am ET / 11pm PT on the 15th), and only Flying-type Pokémon will be eligible to compete. The shift is notable because it is the first significant twist on the format in some time, prompting hopes that developer TPC will continue to keep the mode fresh.

Alongside the returning Mega Stone rewards earned by climbing the ranks, the season adds a set of Pretty Feather rewards to reinforce the flying theme. Eligible Pokémon are drawn from both the Lumiose and Hyperspace Pokédexes and include the likes of Talonflame, Pidgeot, Charizard, Dragonite, Corviknight and Crobat, as well as the Legendaries Yveltal and Rayquaza — though, as before, only one Legendary may be registered to a Battle Team. The current Ranked Battle season runs until 16th July, when Season 14 takes over.

  • Season 14 of Z-A Ranked Battles is Flying-type only.
  • It starts 16th July, replacing the current season.
  • Rewards include Mega Stones and new Pretty Feather items.
