Vienna-based sales agency Square Eyes has acquired international distribution rights to Palestinian filmmaker Mohanad Yaqubi's documentary 'Revolutionaries Never Die,' which will debut at the Locarno Film Festival. The work centres on Lebanese filmmaker and war correspondent Jocelyne Saab, who died in 2019 shortly after proposing a collaboration with Yaqubi. Yaqubi's film functions as a response to that unfinished exchange, drawing on archival materials to trace Saab's artistic vision and political commitments throughout her career.

Saab established herself as a documentary pioneer in 1975 with 'Lebanon in Turmoil,' covering the country's civil war whilst simultaneously producing around 30 films as both a journalist and director. 'Revolutionaries Never Die' represents Yaqubi's third archive-focused feature and has already achieved festival success, including winning the top post-production prize at the 2025 Cairo Film Connection and being screened at the Doha Film Institute's Qumra 2026. The film examines how archival imagery preserves collective memory and political meaning across generations.
