Keanu Reeves Officially Reveals New Sci-Fi Action Movie That Is ‘Groundhog Day’ Meets ‘Jaws’ [Exclusive]
In an interview tied to their new Samsung TV Plus docuseries, Keanu Reeves and his ARCH Motorcycle co-founder Gard Hollinger discussed their move into professional racing, and Reeves also offered a fresh tease about his forthcoming Warner Bros. science-fiction film with Deadpool director Tim Miller. The upcoming movie is being pitched as a blend of Groundhog Day and Jaws — described as a shark-infested time-travel action adventure — marking a notable new project for the star. The conversation was conducted by Collider's Steven Weintraub as part of coverage for the series.
The docuseries, Hooligans: The ARCH Racing Project, is a six-part show premiering on Samsung TV Plus on 12 July, following the pair's debut in MotoAmerica's Super Hooligan National Championship. ARCH Motorcycle, launched in 2011 after starting with a customised Harley-Davidson, builds bespoke, made-to-order bikes tailored to individual riders. Much of the interview focuses on the company's new 2S-R model, which bucks the industry trend towards liquid cooling by using traditional air-cooling fins and a dedicated oil cooler, alongside lighter, faster refinements developed over the racing season. Reeves and Hollinger also reflected on their evident enthusiasm for the venture and insisted they are simply "doing their thing" rather than deliberately going against the grain.
