Koryn Hawthorne Signs With Motown Gospel
Grammy-nominated singer Koryn Hawthorne has signed with Motown Gospel, a division of Capitol Christian Music Group under Capitol and Universal Music Group. The deal marks a new chapter for one of Gospel's most prominent contemporary voices and reflects the continued momentum of Christian and Gospel music within the wider industry.
Hawthorne is known for three No. 1 hits on Billboard's Gospel Airplay and Hot Gospel Songs charts, including the Platinum-certified "Won't He Do It", which topped the Hot Gospel Songs chart for 41 weeks. Her accolades also include two Grammy nominations, a Billboard Music Award and an NAACP Image Award. This autumn she will release her first project for the label, an EP executive-produced by J. White Did It, following her 2024 album On God…, which reached the top 10 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart. The set will be previewed by the single "His Favorite", blending Gospel and R&B. Label executives Walter Thomas and Brad O'Donnell both welcomed her, praising her distinctive voice and connection with fans.
