Mouse: P.I. For Hire Gets Massive Switch 2 Update With New 40fps Mode

Nintendo Life · 3 hours ago

Developer Fumi Games has released Version 1.2.0 for the game Mouse: P.I. For Hire, a substantial update that both squashes a large number of bugs and introduces several new features. The update matters because it noticeably expands options for Nintendo Switch 2 owners, adding a new 40fps "Balanced" graphics mode and uncapped Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support for compatible displays, both aimed at smoother performance.

Alongside the performance changes, the patch adds a "Level Revisit" feature that lets players return to completed levels via the overworld map to collect missing items and finish outstanding side quests. User interface improvements include displaying weapon upgrade levels on the weapon wheel, an option to invert the horizontal camera axis, an overhauled control rebinding system and refined settings menus. The bulk of the notes covers extensive bug fixes, including crashes, stability issues and numerous progression blockers across the game's many levels and boss fights.
