A new nightclub called ORIGIN is set to open in Downtown Los Angeles's Arts District in late summer or early autumn. The venue is the work of Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the pair behind LA nightlife brands such as SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, as well as events including Brunch Electronik, The Maze and Resolution. Billed as "a purpose-built, music-first space", it aims to host electronic music, live acts and a range of cultural programming.

Although no line-ups have yet been announced, ORIGIN has outlined its weekly schedule: Fridays will focus on live bookings from both major and independent artists, while Saturdays will combine daytime outdoor events with late-night house and techno sessions. The rest of the week will feature club nights, concerts, promoter partnerships, private events and large-scale cultural activations. The club will be fitted with a custom analogue KV2 Audio system, plus a separate sound system for outdoor events, while its visual design is led by Marc Dizon, whose credits include Brooklyn Mirage (now Pacha New York), Output, Hakkasan in Las Vegas and Sound in LA.
