Streaming Ratings: ‘Love Island USA’ Rises 40 Percent in Week Two
Peacock's *Love Island USA* topped the Nielsen streaming charts for the second week of its eighth season, drawing 1.83 billion minutes of viewing across the week of 8-14 June 2026. That represented a 40 per cent rise on its premiere week and a 68 per cent jump year on year, making it the show's second-biggest week on record, behind only the 1.93 billion minutes logged for the final week of season seven last July. It was the sole title to cross the billion-minute threshold during the week, underlining the reality series' continued dominance of the platform.
The six episodes that streamed during the period accounted for roughly 1.15 billion minutes, or 63 per cent of the show's weekly total, with other season-eight instalments adding 515 million minutes and past seasons making up the rest. Netflix's *Sweet Magnolias* finished second among original series with 806 million minutes as its fifth season began, whilst *Dutton Ranch* recorded its first weekly decline at 746 million minutes, a drop Nielsen partly attributed to a shorter episode. On the film chart, the true-crime documentary *Maternal Instinct* led with 665 million minutes on Netflix, narrowly ahead of Disney+'s *Hoppers* on 663 million. Nielsen's figures cover US TV-set viewing only and exclude live sport, computers and mobile devices.
