Count Binface claims to be a "Recyclon" from the planet Sigma IX and a fan of the classic television series Lovejoy, but is in reality the alter ego of 46-year-old comedian Jon Harvey, a writer and producer whose credits include The Thick Of It and Have I Got News For You. His wife Sarah, who also works in comedy, is expected to be by his side when the result of the two-horse contest is announced, with voting anticipated to take place next month.
