Everything We Know About ‘We Were Liars’ Season 2 So Far

Deadline · 2 months ago

Prime Video is returning to Beechwood Island for a second season of its young-adult drama We Were Liars, adapted from E. Lockhart's novel. The first season landed on the streamer in the summer of 2025 with all episodes released at once and was renewed that September; Season 2, now confirmed to be in production as of early July, will adapt the prequel novel Family of Liars, shifting focus to the three Sinclair sisters — Carrie, Penny and Bess — and their summer of 1999, described as one "rife with first love, rivalry, and even murder."

No release date has yet been set, but much of the casting has been revealed. Emily Alyn Lind returns as narrator Cadence Sinclair, with Joseph Zada reprising Johnny Sinclair and Dempsey Bryk's Ebon upgraded to series regular. Younger versions of established characters will be played by Josh Dallas (Young Harris), Peyton List (Young Tipper), Madison Wolfe (Young Bess), Elysia Roorbach (Young Penny) and Parker Lapaine (Young Carrie), while Costa D'Angelo joins as Pfeff and Madeleine Arthur plays Young Yardley, alongside several further recurring cast additions.
