L7 bassist Jennifer Finch has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer and is undergoing treatment, according to a statement from her representative. What was initially thought to be a condition easily treatable with radiation has since required multiple surgeries, leaving her with severe physical limitations and a need for extensive ongoing medical care.
A GoFundMe has been launched by Finch's friends and family to cover nursing care, medical equipment, rehabilitation, therapy, and other in-home support, as well as to recoup out-of-pocket medical and legal costs. It will also help fund an archive of her work and complete a creative project due for release next year.
