Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows & Dan Bucatinsky Latest To Join Netflix’s ‘13 Going On 30’ Reboot
Netflix's reboot of the 2004 romantic comedy "13 Going on 30" has added three more actors to its cast, Deadline reports. Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows and Dan Bucatinsky join previously announced stars Emily Bader, Logan Lerman, Adeline Rudolph and Jessica Alba, though their specific roles and the sequel's plot remain undisclosed. The project underscores the enduring appeal of the original film, which has become a cultural touchstone decades after its release.
Production began in Los Angeles last month, with Jennifer Garner, who starred in the original alongside Mark Ruffalo, serving as executive producer. The 2004 film, which grossed around $96 million at the box office, follows a 13-year-old girl who magically becomes her 30-year-old self. Brett Haley is directing from a script by Hannah Marks, with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum producing for RK Films; Garner previously exec produced a stage musical version of the story that premiered in Manchester last autumn.
