Australian crime drama Scrublands has been renewed for a third season, titled Scrublands: Trust, for Stan and 9Network. The new series will again star Luke Arnold and Bella Heathcote, expanding its investigation into conspiracy, corruption and personal secrets across Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

The four-part season is based on Chris Hammer’s novel Trust and has begun filming in Sydney. It is set a decade earlier than previous instalments and introduces Lincoln Younes and Danielle Cormack, while Sarah Roberts and Nicholas Bell return; the story includes a missing $15 million, an apparent suicide, corrupt developers and a deadly search for the truth.
