Netflix has announced that Cory Finley, Meera Menon and Quyen Tran will join co-showrunner Liz Hannah as directors on its upcoming drama series The God of the Woods, with each helming two episodes across the eight-part season. The show, based on Liz Moore's New York Times bestselling novel, stars Maya Hawke and Kerry Condon and is set across generations in the Adirondacks, centring on the Van Laar family's secrets and the disappearance of 13-year-old Barbara Van Laar from a summer camp.

Finley (Thoroughbreds, Bad Education) will direct episodes one and two, Tran (Maid, The Pitt) episodes three and four, Hannah (The Girl from Plainville) episodes five and six, and Menon (For All Mankind, Ms. Marvel) the final two. Executive producers include Hannah, Moore, and Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film, with Sony Pictures Television producing; the cast also features Damon Gupton, Ella Rubin, Benjamin Walker, Tracy Letts and Lola Kirke, among others.
