Burbage Valley, The Peak District, UK

Burbage Valley is 8km north-west of Sheffield, in the United Kingdom. It is drained by Burbage brook, a tributary of the River Derwent.

The valley has been carved through two different types of rock - 'millstone grit' and 'shale'. Recently, the existing Conifer plantation, sitting in the heart of Burbage Moor, has begun being removed in order to better conserve the whole area, for wildlife, and allow for naturally occurring Oak woodland to grow in it’s place.
