1-2 Special Takes U.S. Rights to Michal Marczak’s Sundance Documentary ‘Closure’ (EXCLUSIVE)

1-2 Special has acquired US distribution rights to Michał Marczak’s documentary “Closure” following its Sundance world premiere, and plans a cinema release on 28 October. The film follows Daniel Dymiński’s relentless search for his missing son Chris, making it a portrait of grief, uncertainty and a family’s struggle for answers.

Daniel uses homemade equipment, GPS trackers and drones to search Warsaw’s Vistula River after Chris was last recorded on the Gdańsk Bridge. “Closure” has received strong festival and critical acclaim, winning several awards including Thessaloniki Documentary Festival’s Golden Alexander, which makes it eligible for Academy Award consideration in the documentary feature category.
