## Key points

- A mod lets players recruit Mizora.
- The article names ten NPCs fans want as companions.
- Alfira, Barcus and Zevlor are among its picks.

## Summary

The article argues that several memorable characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 have stories and personalities strong enough to merit becoming full party companions. A mod already lets players recruit Mizora, Wyll’s devil patron, and the piece uses that as a prompt to consider other NPCs whose roles end before players can follow their stories further.

It highlights Alfira, the tiefling bard; Barcus, the gnome who eventually leads the Ironhand clan; Zevlor, the paladin who guides the refugees; and Volo, the hapless explorer, among others. The article’s case is that these characters have compelling arcs or distinctive contributions, while the game gives players limited ways to travel with them and see what happens next.
