The article ranks ten thriller series for their memorable villain performances, arguing that compelling antagonists can make a show unforgettable. It says crime dramas are especially effective at blurring the line between heroes and villains, while strong acting makes these characters feel dangerous and believable.

Among the examples, Hugh Laurie’s arms dealer Richard Roper in *The Night Manager* is praised for seeming powerful enough to evade justice; Laurie won a Primetime Emmy for the role. *Mindhunter* is noted for portrayals of real-life killers including Ed Kemper and Charles Manson, while *Mr. Robot* features adversaries such as Whiterose and Tyrell Wellick.
