## Summary

Winners across the seven music categories at the 2026 Emmy Awards, presented over two nights at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, have now been confirmed. In the headline music category, songwriters Gavin Brivik and Andrew Bird won outstanding original music and lyrics for "Need Someone" from The Pitt, beating high-profile nominees Lady Gaga (for Wednesday) and South Park's Trey Parker.

Apple TV's Pluribus led the night with two wins for Dave Porter, covering main title theme music and sound mixing, both his first Emmys, while Apple TV's Widow's Boy also secured two awards, for David Fleming (his second Emmy) and Toko Nagata (her first). Netflix's The Beast in Me picked up a further award for Sean Callery, his fifth win overall, and first-time winner Sara Barone. On the ceremony's first night, Miguel Gandelman won for directing the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show featuring Bad Bunny, becoming only the third person to win that category for Super Bowl work, and Tyler Strickland won for his score on the documentary John Candy: I Like Me.
