2026 LG OLED evo TVs are getting a new Creator Original picture mode

Engadget · 2 hours ago

LG Electronics is introducing a new picture mode called Creator Original for select 2026 OLED evo TVs, giving studios finer control over how streamed content appears than existing standards like Filmmaker Mode. While Filmmaker Mode strips out post-processing effects such as motion smoothing for a purist presentation, Creator Original instead makes use of these features, allowing studios to fine-tune shadow detail, colour balance, noise reduction and motion handling to match their intended look.

The new mode is initially limited to the 2026 LG OLED evo W6, G6 and C6 series, with most G6 and C6 models priced between roughly $2,000 and $5,000 and featuring Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 12-bit image processing and enhanced dynamic range control. The rollout is being launched in partnership with Amazon's Prime Video, tied to the streaming service's forthcoming Masters of the Universe film; owners of compatible LG Smart TVs running webOS 23 or later can also say "I have the power" into the Magic Remote to bring up related content automatically.
