## Summary

Zach Cregger’s latest horror film, starring Austin Abrams, is losing cinema screens as it enters its seventh week of release. It has dropped from about 1,900 theatres to around 1,700, making it harder to reach a final global box-office milestone despite holding off competition for several weeks.

The article describes the film as one of the year’s best-reviewed wide releases and says it has outperformed Cregger’s earlier films, *Barbarian* and *Weapons*. Those films earned nearly $50 million and around $270 million worldwide respectively; the article gives no current total for the latest film, but says it is nearing its last potential box-office milestone.
