Denis Villeneuve's "Dune: Part Three" is officially set to premiere in cinemas on 18 December 2026, the same day as "Avengers: Doomsday," bringing his acclaimed adaptation of Frank Herbert's novels to a close. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, joined by an ensemble cast including Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Florence Pugh and Jason Momoa, with the screenplay written by Brian K. Vaughan. The film's arrival caps a strong year for the genre, following the box-office and critical success of "Project Hail Mary" earlier in 2026.

With around 100 days to go before release, the film has reportedly already generated $10 million in advance ticket sales, and industry observers expect it to become the first instalment in the trilogy to gross over $100 million on its opening weekend, surpassing "Dune: Part Two's" $82 million debut. Demand has been particularly strong for premium formats, with select IMAX 70mm screenings selling out within minutes of tickets going on sale. Expectations are high that the film will also perform well at next year's Academy Awards, mirroring the critical reception of its predecessors.
