## Summary

Nicolas Cage is returning as arms dealer Yuri Orlov in *Lords of War*, the sequel to the 2005 crime thriller *Lord of War*. Its first teaser introduces a family power struggle that continues the original film’s focus on arms dealing and the conflicts it helps fuel.

Written and directed by Andrew Niccol, the film stars Bill Skarsgård as Anton, Yuri’s illegitimate son and a mercenary building a large private army. The pair compete for power and influence, and for the same woman, against the backdrop of US wars in the Middle East. Vertical is due to release the film on 22 January 2027.
