Paramount has approved a sequel to the 2003 romantic comedy *How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days*, reflecting Hollywood’s continued interest in reviving successful films from the 2000s. The project is still at an early stage, but it could reunite Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, whose original characters helped make the film a defining rom-com of its era.

Hudson is attached as a producer, while no director or other filmmaker has yet been announced and neither lead actor is formally confirmed to return. The original, directed by Donald Petrie, earned $178 million worldwide from a reported $50 million budget and remains popular on streaming services 23 years after release.
