## Summary

The article recommends three Second World War films on Netflix for the weekend, each offering a different perspective on the conflict. Together, they range from a devastating anti-war story to a tense account of resistance and a comic action thriller.

*Grave of the Fireflies* follows two Japanese siblings trying to survive as orphans in the final days of the Pacific war, and is based on Akiyuki Nosaka’s semi-autobiographical 1967 story. *Anthropoid*, starring Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy, dramatises the Czechoslovak Resistance’s real-life operation to assassinate Nazi official Reinhard Heydrich. Guy Ritchie’s *The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare*, led by Henry Cavill, takes a lighter approach, following agents attempting to sabotage German U-boats.
